Dusty Baker - Still an idiot

Some fantastic stuff on Fire Joe Morgan this weekend about everyone's favorite idiot manager, Dusty Baker.

Please do yourself a favor and read it yourself, but I have to print my favorite quotes...

"On-base percentage, that's fine and dandy. But a lot of times guys get so much into on-base percentage that they cease to swing. It's becoming a little bit out of control....

But your job in the middle is to either score them or drive them in. The name of the game is scoring runs. Sometimes, you get so caught up in on-base percentage that you're clogging up the bases."

That is awesome! I hope Cincy fans are ready for these next couple years!

Clemens on trial today... almost

Roger Clemens is right now in front of a Congressional panel or something like that to talk about steroids. We kind of agree with Deadspin on the whole ordeal... but really Clemens is just an asshole - so I have no problem watching him go down in flames.

Watch it live here (yay C-SPAN!)

Since we've been gone

Nothing all that new has come about…

LSU was like that really cute girl who cheats on you – not once, but twice – but you can't give up on because she says all the right things. They rode the strength of schedule pony all the way to the championship game – as many realized they would.

Meanwhile, tOSU scheduled their way into the title game, as anyone with half a brain realized they would, and were routinely annihilated by the Tigers.

Gilbert Arenas got banged up… again… meaning once again there's no reason to follow the NBA.

In hot stove action, Johan Santana was traded to the Mets for half of their farm system, give or take an arm. In related news, the entire American League declared February 2 a National Holiday.

Joe Torre has balls

Joe Torre told the Yankess to take this job and shove it.

Its about time this guy told Steinbrennerhofferstein to stick his Yankees job and all the bullshit that goes with it up his kiester.

Good for you, Joe, good for you.

Tell Dane we're not laughing with him...

What if I told you that there was a video that made fun of both Dane Cook and Major League Baseball; is that something you might be interested in?
